School facilities The campus covers an area of 8,500 square feet providing the students a pleasant and well-equipped environment for learning. Each of the 29 standard classrooms and 20 special rooms are equipped with a desk-top computer, an LCD projector and a screen for multimedia teaching. The staff room and special rooms all have broadband Internet access. The students may also develop their physique in our two standard basketball courts, and stroll leisurely around interacting with each other in the school gardens and fish pond.
Extra-curricular activities The school’s extra-curricular activities are many and varied. In addition to the four Houses, we have more than 40 clubs which are classified into four types: academic, cultural and artistic, service and sports. There are more than ten school teams providing different activities for students to choose from, so that they can develop their potential. The school also has an ECA Credit System to encourage the students to participate more in different types of activities and service groups.
S1 Orientation / Summer activities for new students Each year we organize the “S1 Orientation Day” during the summer vacation which will hopefully enhance the understanding of students and parents of the school. In addition, the school conducts summer bridging / foundation classes and holds an English reading programme for the incoming S1 students to cultivate in them an interest in extensive reading and their self-learning ability.
Strategies of promoting reading Two periods in each teaching cycle are earmarked for the reading session. A book corner is set up in each S1-S3 classroom for the reading sessions. Students are also encouraged to take part in internal and external reading award schemes.
