學校政策

管理與組織

本校設有「學校管理委員會」,成員包括教育局代表、校外委員、校長、教師代表、家長代表及校友代表,定期開會討論學校之政策及發展動向。校內設有政策及學校發展、課程、訓輔、生活教育、課外活動等小組,統籌及推行校務。

學與教

本校師資優良,老師熱心盡責,以學生為本,提供全人教育,務使學生在德智體群美各方面得到均衡的發展。教學方針著重兩文三語及資訊科技訓練,以配合時代步伐;透過運用多媒體教學,培育學生主動學習、創新及發揮自我潛能。

校風及學生支援

本校校風淳樸,學生敦品礪行,恪守校訓。學校採用訓輔合一政策,師生關係良好。校方又舉辦拔尖保底課程,以加強學生的語文表達能力;推行朋輩輔導計劃,令學生在互助互勉中成長。

教學語言

本校著重兩文三語的訓練,自2010-11年度中一級開始,主要科目均以英語為授課語言。

在英語學習方面,本校除聘請校外導師開設英文進修班外,也舉辦英語早會、閱讀計劃、英文獎勵計劃、英語大使計劃等,以創造更佳的英語學習環境。

在中文教育領域,除了培育同學讀寫聽說能力外,還推行優化教學計劃和舉辦各類活動,包括校本閱讀計劃、初中粵劇藝術導賞課程、書法藝術課程、作家講座、寫作比賽、演講比賽、出版文集等以提升同學對中國文學、文化和藝術的素養。

至於普通話科,則通過設置網上自學平台和舉辦粵普對譯比賽、普通話日等活動,讓同學輕鬆自主地學習,以提高他們對普通話的興趣和聽說能力。

學業評估

除測驗及考試之外,又計算學生之平時分作持續性評估,中一至中三則設「專題研習」,鼓勵學生主動探索知識,成績亦計算入考試之內,務求透過不同的評核方式,使學生獲致全面的智能發展,配合時代的需要。

拔尖保底措施

本校於中一及中二開設全方位小班教學。在英語、中文及數學學習方面,本校教師及資深導師為中一至中四學生於星期六及課餘舉辦「拔尖保底」班,提升及鞏固學生的學習能力。

教師發展

本校每年均設三次或以上教師培訓日,讓老師研討有關教學範疇的最新知識,以配合教育發展的趨勢。此外,本校教師亦積極參與校外不同機構舉辦的課程及研討會,力求吸取新知,與時並進。

家課政策 (English only)

A. Objectives:
1. To motivate students to learn
2. To encourage students to apply what they have learned
3. To consolidate what students have learned
4. To monitor the progress of students
5. To better prepare students for public examinations
6. To develop students’ ability of self-regulated learning
7. To develop students’ generic skills

B. Criteria of assigning homework:
1. Different types of homework should be assigned.
2. The quantity and level of difficulty of homework should be manageable to students of diverse learning needs and abilities.
3. The homework assigned should meet the need of the subject.
4. The homework assigned should help developing students’ generic skills.
5. Guidance and support should be given to help students to do homework.

C. Quantity of assignments:
1. The amount of homework assigned by various subjects for each level should be coordinated to ensure its affordability to most of the students.
2. The amount of homework assigned should not exceed the upper limit of four items or three hours per day for junior forms.
3. The amount of homework per cycle should be made known to teachers, students and parents for their reference.

D. Supporting measures for the completion of assignments:
1. A mechanism should be set up to motivate students to complete and hand in their assignments on time.
2. Guidance and help should be provided to students having difficulty in completing the homework assigned to them.
