歷史文化學堂 - 廣東粽子工作坊
Date: 18/05/2024
The History Department of our school nominated Form 3 students to participate in an intangible cultural heritage workshop (Cantonese rice dumplings), organized by the Hong Kong Chinese Culture Development Association and funded by the Quality Education Fund. Mr. Man, the former chief pastry chef of Hang Heung Cake Shop, served as the instructor for this event. He explained the historical and cultural significance of Cantonese cuisine and showed the production method of Cantonese rice dumplings. The activity provided students with a deeper understanding of Chinese culinary culture and enhanced their sense of belonging to their own ethnicity. Their knowledge of history and culture, as well as their sense of national identity, were all increased through this event.
